Their story

Heidi and Stuart were married at the Larmer Tree Gardens. A month after their UK wedding, they flew out to Vietnam for a second celebration. Taking me with them to photograph the events.

The first half of the trip was a three day cruise in Ha Long Bay. It’s one of the World Heritage Site’s and seven natural wonders of the world – it was breathtaking! The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes.

On the last day of the cruise at sun down I took some photos of the newlyweds on the traditional looking Vietnamese ‘junk’ cruise ship we were staying on. I was shooting from another boat to get the first few photos. During the shoot we visited one of the limestone islands with it’s own beach.

It was an incredible experience for me. I’m still so grateful to them both for the opportunity to photograph such a unique and beautiful wedding celebration.

The week finished with a celebration in Hanoi, with many local guests attending. The morning preparations began in the hotel. After which we then headed to a local temple. The architecture was stunning!

These are some of my highlights.
