“When planning towards our wedding, we looked at many different photographers in the area. As soon as we found Ben, we were drawn to his particular style of photography and it was clear that he offered the highest quality along with excellent value for money – particularly as we had three photographers for the price of one on the day! He made every effort to work to our own hectic timetable at the wedding, including staying much later than he originally greed to ensure we got the shots we wanted. His reportage style allowed for some very natural shots, which we prefer to the ’staged’ shots, and we often weren’t even aware of his presence… he managed to capture moments covertly, and unobtrusively.

We didn’t have to worry about the photos on the day at all – Ben, Josh and John took care of everything and seemed to really enjoy their work, which helped put us at ease all the more. We would not hesitate to recommend Ben Goode Photography and, should the need arise, we’ll certainly use the company again!

“I work with young people in a college setting and one of the groups I run is Photography. I first came across Ben Goode in Flickr (a photo sharing website). He is one of the Photographer’s that I get my students to aspire to be like. This photographer, with a vast amount of equipment at his disposal is one of the most creative photographer’s I have seen for many years, I just wish he had been one of my students.

“The photos are as we expected – fabulous!

Thank you so much for all those never to be repeated moments caught on camera. We were impressed by your portfolio, and the very well priced service you offer but, more than that, we were touched by the care and genuine interest you took in all the proceedings of Bev and Dan’s wedding. It was a privilege to have, not just one brilliant photographer, not even two, but three on the day!!

Your blend of professionalism and natural thoughtfulness and good humour are a winning combination (we realise that, because there was a delay in starting the evening function, you stayed on much later than anticipated – thank you for that).

We trust that you enjoyed the day too, and we look forward to the arrival of the complete set of photos when completed.

We will be recommending ‘Ben Goode Photography’ whenever the opportunity arises and wish you all a successful and very blessed future.

“Dear Ben and John,

Carina and I just wanted to THANK YOU both, again, for the time, patience, professionalism, enthusiasm, skill and endurance that you displayed on the day of our wedding. You both were an integral part of the day from start to finish, and it was all perfect. I hope you both enjoyed the day, and were well fed and watered.

We cannot wait to see the results, but unfortunately we must, as we’re off to Japan for the honeymoon tomorrow morning.

Gary & Carina Taylor.”

“To be honest we had somewhat underestimated exactly how much planning was required for a wedding. Whilst we focused on the ceremony, confirming a venue and finalising the guest list, we left choosing a photographer until just a couple of months before the big day.

Since there had been no recent wedding in the family or within our circle of friends in the Southampton area we were short on recommendations. A quick internet search of photographers in Hampshire yielded a plethora of photographers to choose from but with no recommendations we were unsure who we could rely on to capture our special day as we wished.

Drawn to Ben Goode’s well presented website, with superb photographs and an honest approach to the service and price, we contacted Ben and were lucky to find that he was available. As we would be starting the day of the wedding from different locations we opted for the ‘two photographer package’ and were pleased that we could be accommodated.

An introduction and discussion over a glass of wine the week before the wedding with Ben and the second photographer, his father John, assured us that we would be in good hands. The style of photography we chose was ‘discrete and relaxed’ with some time set aside for formal shots. They were even prepared to accompany guests with children to the nearby Marwell Zoo in the afternoon after the Wedding Breakfast, should the occasion present itself.

Come the big day we were able to relax; the planning had paid off. Both Ben and John were on hand right from the 8:30 start, shooting discretely and more formally without being intrusive, tweaking things where necessary but generally working with the given light, conditions and locations; letting us enjoy the day.

A considerable number of guest remarked to us how surprised they were at the number of shots that Ben and John were taking with their overt but unobtrusive professional cameras. We only really appreciated this once we had received the 1000+ photographs and were stunned by the quality.

At the end of the day, with the light fading fast and the party well underway, Ben and John stayed until after our first dance, then once again congratulated us and made their way.
One week later and the photographs were delivered in person. The unprocessed photographs were stunning; the 200 professionally processed photographs took our breath away. Truly amazing photographers and photographs. We now have tough decisions to make on which photographs will make it into the albums and those that will be framed; we are that spoilt for choice.

We highly recommend Ben Goode Photography,

Christopher and Luley Pym”
