On Friday the 11th of September, both Ben Goode and John Goode were hired for a wedding photography shoot at Mottisfont Abbey in Romsey, Hamphshire.
It was a real privilege to shoot a wedding at such a spectacular venue. Mottisfont Abbey sits in the Test Valley and is thought to originate back to the time of the Saxons, today though the site is owned and run by the National Trust. The grounds are simply stunning, and it made for some of the most breathtaking photographs we have captured to date.
We will definitely share some of the wedding photographs with you on the blog soon. But you’ll have to wait for the bride and groom to come back from honeymoon, as it’s only fair they see them first ;).
I hope we get the opportunity of photographing a wedding there again in the future. 2010 will be the last year the National Trust will allow guests to use the house for a wedding, all wedding receptions after the date next year will only be able to use the grounds, as it is putting too much strain on the historic building.
