This week was my first ever mid-week wedding. On Wednesday Lexi and Fab got married at the newly restored Westgate Hall in Southampton. The hall is situated along the old city walls of Southampton – I’m sure you can guess where I took them for their bride and groom portraits… Lexi and Fab worked with a very small budget, but made the wedding their own and disregarded many of the traditions. It is probably the most relaxed wedding I’ve photographed, which is why I’ve chosen this sneak peek for their wedding. I think it sums up their day perfectly.
Last Saturday was the wedding of Rebecca and Gary. Their sneak peek is a little different from the ‘norm’ – I’ve just started a poll on my Facebook fan page to try and gage what photo highlights interest you all the most. Please click the link if you’d like to take part, I’d be most grateful.
A week ago today I was at Bristol’s Coombe Lodge for the wedding of Mette and Simon. The atmosphere was electric! Half of the guests there had travelled from Denmark – they brought with them some very amusing Danish wedding traditions… I’m really looking forward to blogging this shoot in the next month or two, but for now here’s a sneak peek.
It’s been an exciting few weeks at Ben Goode Photography, not to mention busy! I’ve got some beautiful wedding highlights to share with you. The first today comes from Ben and Rebecca’s wedding at the Fitzleroi Barn, in Pulborough, West Sussex almost two weeks ago. Below are some of my favourites from their ‘bride and groom portraits’.
The Wedding Community has chosen one of my recent wedding photography images as their ‘Picture of the Day’. Click on the link to see the image larger, feel free to rate the image too.
It’s getting late, but before the day is out I wanted to share a sneak peek from my wedding on Saturday. Abi and Craig were married in Totton, Southampton. After the ceremony, on our way to their reception venue (The Haven Hotel in Sandbanks) we stopped off at a quiet spot in the New Forest. Their wedding car was so cool! It had to feature in this sneak peek… We stopped for about 30 mins in the forest, capturing some beautiful images of the bride and groom. Later in the afternoon we also went to a stretch of beach behind the Haven Hotel to get some photos in the sand. Your comments are always appreciated.
Saturday was the wedding of Sarah and Adam. They had their reception at the magnificent Avington Park in Winchester (if like me you’re a bit of a history fanatic, you can read more about the house here). On the success of the five sneaky peeks from Ben and Karen’s wedding, I’ve uploaded five shots for you again from Sarah and Adam’s wedding. Enjoy! P.S.
