Hey blog followers, it’s Josh! Today I had the oppurtinity of making today’s blog post. I had the task of selecting a sneak peek image from Gary and Amy’s mid September wedding. It was another fantastic day for us at the Lamer Tree Gardens – which is located on the Bournemouth Salisbury Border. Whilst I captured the guests on the green enjoying their drinks and canapés, Ben took Gary and Amy to a new spot we haven’t used before, the shots came out beautifully. Big congratulations to Gary and Amy!
Looking back to the beginning of September now. David and Lesley had their wedding reception at the Fitzleroi Barn in Pulborough, West Sussex. They’d decorated the barn courtyard with half a dozen giant balloons. I couldn’t resist using them in a photo. The image I’ve selected also takes advantage of the beautiful rural setting.
This post comes from the very end of August. Steve and Kirsty had the most wonderful wedding blessing and reception in the woods. It was absolutely magical! It’s probably the most unique wedding Josh and I have ever photographed. In the next month or two (before the year is out) I’m going to be showcasing this years highlights. Be sure to look out for many more from this one.
At the end of August Anna and Paul wedded at the Upwaltham Barns in the South Downs National Park. During the drinks reception I took the couple away for a few minutes. We walked up a hill to a beautiful spot. The conditions were just right. You can see the rolling hills of the South Downs in the background.
I’ve chosen two gorgeous images from Jen and Doug’s wedding to preview on the blog. It was the first wedding to ever be held at Knighton House, and as the future of the school hangs in the balance it could also be the last. That truly is a unique wedding venue! Huge congratulations to them both. They were a super couple to work with.
August was a crazy busy month for us with seven weddings! On the 7th Danni and Toby were married in Corfe Mullen and had their wedding reception at Deans Court in Wimborne, Dorset. It was the first time Josh and I had worked at the venue. We loved it! It was such a privilege being asked to photograph their wedding, as I had previously photographed both of the brides sisters’. We’ve know the family for about four years. It does make a big difference photographing people whom you have a rapport with. Here’s a little sneak peek from their wonderful day. This one will definitely be featuring on the blog later this year.
The next day after Kev and Gem’s Larmer Tree wedding, Josh and I had the pleasure of photographing Marcus and Victoria’s wedding. They were married at Beaulieu Abbey and had their reception at the Harbour Master’s Hotel in Bucklers Hard. If you’re a fan of our work, you’ll know I love to photograph during the ‘golden hour’. After their wedding breakfast, I briefly took the new couple outside for a shot at sunset. I was delighted with the results (as were they!!). Hope you enjoy this one.
Kev and Gem started off August on the first of the month at our favourite Larmer Tree Gardens. I’ve known the family for a few years now, having taken their family portraits on a number of prior occasions. I think that really helped them both to feel relaxed with us and the camera. We were able to capture so many natural moments with our unobtrusive approach. The view from across the pond looking to the Roman Temple is probably my favourite in the gardens, so naturally I couldn’t resist uploading this shot for their sneak peek. Keep an eye out later in the year for the full highlights of this wedding.
Andy and Amie’s wedding closed off our month of July this year. They celebrated their reception at Silchester House in Hampshire. It was great to return to the venue after three years of last working there. Here’s a quick preview photograph from their wedding day.
Now that the wedding season has somewhat quietened for us, we can sit back (a little) and share with you some of the wonderful weddings we’ve photographed over the past few months. Starting where we left off, after Tom and Renée’s wedding at Chiswick House, the following week Claire and Ian had their wedding reception at Houghton Lodge in Hampshire right on the banks of the River Test. It was the first time Josh and I had worked at the venue. It’s a stunning house and setting! Here’s a little sneak peek from their day.
